Chapter 9

On the morning of Tuesday, April 28, we awoke in a hotel in Jackson, WY. The forecast for the night before was for temperatures in the 20's. Lise was fine to sleep in the car but, I was not.
We took a couple of pictures around town including these awesome elk horn arches and hit the road.
The plan was to circle around Yellowstone National Park and see if we could get in. To do that we had to travel through Teton Pass, elevation 8432 ft., in to Idaho.

We circles around the Tetons but, could not find a way in to Yellowstone.

Crossing into Montana, we did pass through a small section of Yellowstone but we were not allowed to stop.
After driving and searching for a way in to a closed Yellowstone National Park all day, we made our way through some beautiful scenery in Montana towards the city of Butte as we looked for a place to stop for the night.
