Chapter 13
After watching that wonderful sunset on the evening of May 1, we spent the night in a rest stop that we had all to ourselves right on the PCH in the vicinity of Fort Bragg, CA.
It was pretty quiet and comfortable and, as you can see, the view was nice, too!
We woke up and made our way down the beautiful California coast towards San Francisco.
We arrived in San Francisco around the middle of the day and found it to be pretty much closed. One of the good things about traveling in times like these is not having to fight for parking. We just drove up and took our pictures.
Here is the Golden Gate Bridge and Fishermans Wharf.
After walking around a bit, we wanted a cup of coffee and a snack. This is how you do it while social distancing:
Order from the sidewalk to go only. But, we did enjoy walking and found the city to be very nice.
Even the prison was nice!
I also happened to drive by the home of the San Francisco Giants and stopped to snap a picture:
We left San Francisco late in the afternoon on Saturday, May 2 and made our way south stopping for the night in Big Sur, CA where we once again enjoyed an amazing sunset!
